NEXT! Festival of the young Photoszene

Next! Festival of the Young Photoszene, organised by Photoszene Köln in cooperation with the German Children and Youth Film Centre (KJF), was to take place for the first time in May 2020, together with numerous partners, parallel to the Photoszene Festival. Next! is a young festival format for children and young people on artistic photography. The focus is on experimenting with the medium and the exchange with each other and with photography professionals.
Due to the corona pandemic, individual events are planned to be postponed until autumn 2020.

Art Meets Education

Nico Klein-Allermann presents his project "Art Meets Education": The aim is to encourage Filipino children from poor backgrounds to follow their inner impulses in photography workshops, camera in hand. This results in very special pictures that are presented and sold in exhibitions. The proceeds will be used to ensure that the children can attend school until they graduate from high school.
